Educational Qualifications

Scientific Assistant/B (Civil)

  • 3-Year Diploma in Civil Engineering with at least 60% marks

Stipendiary Trainee – Category I

  • Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation with minimum 60% marks
    OR

  • B.Sc. degree in Physics / Chemistry / Mathematics with 60% marks

Stipendiary Trainee – Category II (Plant Operator)

  • 10+2 / ISC (Science stream – PCM) with minimum 50% marks

Stipendiary Trainee – Category II (Maintainer)

  • SSC (10th) with 50% marks in Science & Mathematics

  • ITI Certificate (2 years) in relevant trade

X-Ray Technician

  • 10+2 (Science) with 60% marks

  • One-year X-Ray / Radiography Certificate

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience

Assistant Grade-1

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with minimum 50% marks

NPCIL Salary Structure & Allowances

NPCIL provides pay scales as per the 7th Pay Commission along with multiple central government benefits.

  • Scientific Assistant/B:

    • Pay Level 6 – Basic ₹35,400

    • Approx. Gross Salary: ₹55,900 per month

  • Technician/B (After Training):

    • Pay Level 3 – Basic ₹21,700

    • Approx. Gross Salary: ₹34,200 per month

  • Assistant Grade-1 / X-Ray Technician:

    • Pay Level 4 – Basic ₹25,500

    • Approx. Gross Salary: ₹40,000 per month

Stipend During Training

  • Category-I: ₹24,000 (1st Year), ₹26,000 (Next 6 Months)

  • Category-II: ₹20,000 (1st Year), ₹22,000 (2nd Year)
