Educational Qualifications
Scientific Assistant/B (Civil)
3-Year Diploma in Civil Engineering with at least 60% marks
Stipendiary Trainee – Category I
Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation with minimum 60% marks
ORB.Sc. degree in Physics / Chemistry / Mathematics with 60% marks
Stipendiary Trainee – Category II (Plant Operator)
10+2 / ISC (Science stream – PCM) with minimum 50% marks
Stipendiary Trainee – Category II (Maintainer)
SSC (10th) with 50% marks in Science & Mathematics
ITI Certificate (2 years) in relevant trade
X-Ray Technician
10+2 (Science) with 60% marks
One-year X-Ray / Radiography Certificate
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
Assistant Grade-1
Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with minimum 50% marks

NPCIL Salary Structure & Allowances
NPCIL provides pay scales as per the 7th Pay Commission along with multiple central government benefits.
Scientific Assistant/B:
Pay Level 6 – Basic ₹35,400
Approx. Gross Salary: ₹55,900 per month
Technician/B (After Training):
Pay Level 3 – Basic ₹21,700
Approx. Gross Salary: ₹34,200 per month
Assistant Grade-1 / X-Ray Technician:
Pay Level 4 – Basic ₹25,500
Approx. Gross Salary: ₹40,000 per month
Stipend During Training
Category-I: ₹24,000 (1st Year), ₹26,000 (Next 6 Months)
Category-II: ₹20,000 (1st Year), ₹22,000 (2nd Year)
